Edward T. Bode

Edward T. Bode, age 65, of Butler died Friday, March 20, 2015. Mr. Bode was born in Jersey City, NJ the son of Edward and Helen (Sommers) Bode. Ed served in the Army during Vietnam war, relieving a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was the owner and operator of General Yard Maintenance LLC in Butler, NJ, was an avid golfer, he belonged to the Wallkill Valley Country Club, was a printer for over 30 years and answered to "gramps my man " to his granddaughter Cali. Ed was very devoted to his daughter Brittany supporting her in softball through her career right into her teaching days in Butler. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years Roberta (Sehulster) Bode, his loving parents, Edward and Helen (Sommers) Bode, his beloved daughter, Brittany Marion, a dear sister, Patricia Elkovich, his cherished granddaughter, Cali and is also survived by three nephews. Viewing hours will be Monday, March 23, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral will be Tuesday 11:00am also at the funeral home. All other service will be private.
