Eileen R Demarest

Eileen R Demarest , 86, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Harold H. Demarest. Cherished daughter of the late Charles Ignatius and Alma (nee Fasnacht) Ritchie. Dear sister of Martha Blenner (Howard, deceased) and of the late Ann Ritchie and Charles Ritchie (Marjorie). She was deeply loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, step-children, family, and friends, and will be dearly missed by all. Eileen was Executive Secretary and later president of Charles H. Demarest, Inc. an importer of brush fibers, chair cane, bamboo and other materials. Eileen especially enjoyed supplying "Tonkin Cane", the unique bamboo used by rodbuilders around the world to craft bamboo fly rods. Eileen's other interests included: travel, photography, Glenwild Lake, and her faith. Eileen's dog, Madison, was a friend and constant companion for the last several years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held April 21, 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua; 65 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. Friends will be received at MORRISON FUNERAL HOME; 86 BARTHOLDI AVE, BUTLER, NJ ON FRIDAY, APRIL 20, 2-4 PM, 7-9 PM.
