Eleanor I. Sanders

Eleanor I. Sanders, age 99, of Pompton Lakes, died Friday, September 29th, 2017. Mrs. Sanders was born in Clark Summit, PA, the daughter of the late Oscar and the late Teenie (Oakley) Veith. She was a Blasting Cap Technician for DuPont in Pompton Lakes for 40 years before she retired. Eleanor was an avid gardener and enjoyed visiting her family. She is survived by her beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her devoted husband, Winfield Scott Sanders and her dear siblings, Raleigh Swartswood , Edwin Veith, Clara Williams, Oscar Veith, Lester and Roger Veith, and Juanita Sisco . Viewing hours will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 10 to 11:30am at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held following the viewing at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
