As a teen, she met Salvatore Scozzari outside a local candy shop and a few years later, they wed, on December 28, 1951. Bette and Sal raised 3 childrenDouglas, Debra and Derrickin Paterson and in 1962, they moved to Butler, where they remained until 2015.Bette was a homemaker who also enjoyed gardening, painting, and taking trips to the Jersey shore, especially Wildwood Crest, and was also a talented painter, known for painting landscapes and portraits of her pets. She was also employed by PathMark stores, where she worked in the Deli department for many years, before retiring in 1993. Post-retirement, she joined the XYZ club in Butler and enjoyed trips with her friends to various points of interest in the area. She was also a devout Roman Catholic and was very involved in her church, Saint Anthonys in Butler, where she served as Eucharistic Minister for many years. Most of all, Bette will be remembered for her incredible cooking, baking, and the love that she gave her family. There was never a time when she didnt have food ready to be served, a stack of coupons to share, or a handful of grocery items to send home with her children and grandchildren. Her proudest accomplishment that of being a mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother. Her happiest moments were when she was with her family, as the smile on her face said it all. Bette was pre-deceased by her husband, Sal, in 2016; her parents, Anthony (1965), and Susan (1978); her siblings, David (2019), Amelia (1937), Robert (2020), and William (2010); her brothers-in-law, Ettore De Marchi, John Ralicki, and Angelo Di Dolci; and her sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Pellegrini and Carmelina Di Dolci.
