Ellen Johnson

Ellen Johnson, formerly Ellen Sehr, (daughter of Agnes and Otto Sehr also of Brooklyn) passed away 8/26/16 in her sleep while a resident of The Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wanaque NJ. Born January 11, 1935 she is survived by her son James Johnson, his wife Alicia Johnson and their daughters Jacquelyn and Julia of Green Pond NJ. Ex-husband Carl Johnson and son Christopher Johnson predeceased Ellen. She is survived by Chris' children-son Eric Johnson of Shippensburg, PA and daughter Laura Johnson and her husband Shawn Johnson of Alexandria VA. Born in Brooklyn NY she married Carl in 1956 leaving Brooklyn for a log cabin on a dirt road in Wayne NJ where Chris and Jim were raised. After their divorce she learned how to drive at the age of 45 living very independently until somewhat recently. She was most recently living in Butler NJ in the Butler Senior Housing Development. She is missed. A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, September 1st, from 4 to 7pm at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ.
