Elmer Vincent Struble, Sr., age 83, of Stockholm, NJ, formerly of Butler, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, May 12, 2007 at home in Stockholm.Mr. Struble was born July 20, 1923 in West Milford, NJ, the son of the late William O. and the late Mary (O'Sullivan) Struble. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1945 during World War II. Mr. Struble received the Bronze Star Medal and the Distinguished Unit Badge for his heroic achievements during the war.He was employed by the Butler Post Office, Butler NJ as a Letter Carrier for many years.Mr. Struble was a member of VFW and Knights of Columbus Council No. 943 both in Butler.Devoted husband of the late Idella M. (nee Van Orden). Beloved father of Butch and his wife Susan, Jeanne Barrios, and Craig and his wife Patricia. Cherished grandfather of six, and great-grandfather of five. Loving brother of Donald Struble and his wife Pat. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.The Memorial Service will be Sunday May 20th, 2007, 12:00pm at The Knights Of Columbus, 65 Paterson Hamburg Turnpike, Butler, NJ.
