Ernest F. Conti Jr.

Ernest F. Conti Jr., age 79, passed away at home in the arms of his wife Joan on Thursday Nov. 12th, 2020. He is survived by his Wife, Joan (Kelly), his Son, Joseph, Daughter, Joan Marie, Daughter in law, Maryanne, Son in law, Sam Singh and Grandchildren, Gavin, Nicole and Joey. Ernest was born in Passaic Park and resided there for most of his life. He was a resident of Clifton from 1986 to 2018 and last moving to Wanaque in 2018. Ernest proudly served in the US Army, active duty and reservist from 1963 to 1969. He was a bowling enthusiast and spent many years bowling on leagues at Wallington Lanes. Mr. Conti worked for Congoleum Corporation (Kearny & Trenton) for 30+ years as a Traffic Manager retiring in 2001. In retirement, he worked part time at Hickory Hill Estates in Totowa at the security gate. He was dearly loved and will be remembered for his commitment to family, his sense of humor, advice and guidance. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm, also on Thursday at the funeral home. The new limits on indoor gatherings for facilities is 25% of the maximum amount of people in a building.
