Ernest W. Murphy

Ernest W. Murphy, 86, Butler,NJ, passed away on June 25, 2017. Ernest was born in Kearny, NJ, the son of John Henry and Cathaleen Murphy. Ernest was the VP of accounting in Baldwin Technology located in Greenwich, CT. before retiring. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, a member of the Butler XYZ's, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8096 , the John Dean American Legion Post #154 and a former fireman in Union Beach, NJ. He is survived by his beloved children, Steven and wife Linda, Ken and wife Sandy, Laurie Murphy-Liloia and her husband Nick, Gary Murphy and wife Barbara Burns-Murphy and George Aupperlee and wife Kathy, a loving sister Cathaleen Purdy and eight cherished grandchildren. Ernest was predeceased by his devoted wife Genevieve. Viewing hours will be Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held 8 PM ,also on Thursday, at the funeral home. All other services will be held in private.
