Father Quintin A. Neyland, O.F.M.

NEYLAND - Father Quintin A., O.F.M., of St. AnthonyFriary, Butler, NJ. on May 30, 2007, in his 88th year.Father Quintin was a professed Franciscan Friar for 65years, and a Catholic Priest for 60 years. FatherQuintin entered the Franciscan Order in 1940, and wasordained to the Catholic Priesthood in 1946. In NewJersey he served at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church,Hewitt, 1967-1973, and at St. Francis of AssisiChurch, Wanaque, 1973-1976. He also served at St.Anthony's Shrine, Boston, MA, 1947-1967. His longestministry was at St. Francis of Assisi Shrine Church,New York City, 1976-2002. Father Quintin retired toSt. Anthony Friary, Butler, in 2002. He is survived byhis Franciscan confreres, a sister-in-law and severalnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by twobrothers: Father Christopher Neyland, O.F.M., and Mr.Herbert Neyland. Mass of Christian Burial will becelebrated on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 9:30 AM atSt. Anthony's R.C. Church, Butler, NJ. Visiting, 4:00- 8:00 PM on Friday, June 1,2007, also at St.Anthony's R.C. Church. Wake Service will be at 7:00PM, Friday. Burial to follow Mass, at Mount CalvaryCemetery, Butler, NJ. Arrangements- The MorrisonFuneral Home, Butler, NJ.
