Sadly, Flora Mae Van Orden, age 91, of Bloomingdale passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. She was born in Butler, spending most of life in Butler, Bloomingdale and Beach Lake, PA and Pequannock, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Flora Miller. Flora was married to Gilbert who predeceased her in 2012 after 63 years of marriage. Flora was a member of the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church. She had many hobbies and interests including knitting and crocheting blankets, bowling, playing cards and being with her family, but probably her favorite was cooking and baking. She was well known throughout her family for her personalized birthday cakes. Flora leaves behind 2 loving daughters, Diane Mathews and husband Warren of Bloomingdale, and Susan Clayton of Hardyston. She leaves behind 6 adoring grandchildren, Nadine Varga of Nixa, MO, Greg Mathews of Brentwood, TN, Bill Clayton of Ventura, CA, Lori Salamandra of Arnold, MD, Amy Dennis and Robert Clayton of Vernon, NJ as well as 12 great grand-children. Also surviving are sister-in-law Miriam Champy and brother-in-law John McKenna, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Flora was also predeceased by her 2 sisters, Marion and Janet and 2 brothers, Robert and Richard. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the service will be private. A memorial will be celebrated at a later date
