Francis "Frank" Joseph Reinhardt, Jr., passed away peacefully on January 16, 2019 in Kinnelon, NJ. Born in Paterson, NJ, on March 4, 1930, Frank was the son of Francis J. Reinhardt and Mary "Mae" Babb Reinhardt. Frank was a star athlete in his youth. He was a member of the St. Joseph High School basketball team which won the state championship his senior year and received a basketball scholarship to Rutgers University. He served in the US Army and later utilized the GI Bill to complete his undergraduate work at Seton Hall University with degrees in both Business Administration and Finance. He would go on to earn his masters degree in Finance from New York University. Frank served as Smoke Rise Sailing Club Commodore and enjoyed Saturdays at the Smoke Rise Tennis Club. Frank had a long and venerable career as an investment banker with Carl H. Pforzheimer & Co., specializing in the oil industry. He was a greatly respected Wall Street oil analyst who built the institutional research department at the firm before and after he was made a partner in 1966. As well as being a founding member of the National Association of Petroleum Investment Analysts, Frank was its president in 1991-1992, and served as a NAPIA director for many years. Frank was also a past president of The Oil Analysts of New York and a long time New York Society of Security Analysts member. Frank survived the 9/11 terror attacks, escaping from 49th floor of the North Tower where he had been at a meeting. When Franks doctors gave him three weeks to live back in 2015, he was respectful of their opinion but knew he had much more to give to this world and his children, Allison and Paul. He also bestowed a deep love and affection for his only grandchild, Kevin. Kevin, was always the apple of his Pop-Pops eye. Franks passionate love of sports was something he imbued in Kevin. The New York Rangers, the Giants, and the Mets have lost one of their biggest fans with Franks passing but have gained one more angel looking down upon them. Frank is survived by his daughter, Allison M Reinhardt; his son, Paul F. Reinhardt; his grandson Kevin M Lynch; his younger sister Margaret (Peggy) Reinhardt; cousins Irene Claire Brower and Marjorie Luganob. Frank will be buried beside his beloved wife Maureen Maxwell Reinhardt, who predeceased him in death in August 1989.
