Francis Joseph Walsh

Francis Joseph Walsh, Age 87, of Bloomingdale, passed quietly on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Francis served in the US Army (1943-1945). He was a honorably discharged Veteran of World War II with four bronze stars. He also was the 2008 Grand Marshall of Tri-Boro Memorial Day Parade, former member Bloomingdale Board of Education from 1969-1977, serving as Board of Education President from 1973-1974. Long-term member of Bloomingdale Memorial Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #9458, serving as Post Commander 1973-1974. Lifetime member of St. Anthony's Knights of Columbus Council # 943. Member John Dean Post American Legion. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Catherine, four daughters, Joanne Struble, Eileen Restaino, Margaret Walsh and Helen Walsh. Also survived by five loving grandchildren, Patrick and Kelly Struble, Jesse and Tyler Restaino and Connor Francis Walsh White. Also survived by sons-in-laws Michael Struble, James Restaino and Matthew White. Viewing hours will be held Saturday July 20th, 2013 from 9am to 11am at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. A Mass will be offered 11:30am also on Saturday at St. Anthony's RC Church Butler, NJ. All other services will be private.
