Gale Ann Carboy, 80, of Clifton, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 6, 2021, her family at her bedside. She was born in Passaic, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Madlyn [nee Graziano] and the late Ignatius Magaditch. Gale was known to be a strong and independent woman, a friend and confidante, a loving and giving mother/grandmother, and an animal lover. Before retirement she worked as a baker for ShopRite of Little Falls for 20+ years. Gale is survived by her loving son John S. Carboy, her grandson Samuel Grant Thorburn IV, and her son-in-law James McGivney. She is predeceased by her loving husband, John J Carboy Jr., and her loving daughter Debra Ann McGivney. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00am on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Butler United Methodist Church* (5 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ 07405). The family will receive guests preceding the service from 10:00am to 11:00am.*Those attending the Memorial Service are asked to wear a mask inside the Church building.For friends and loved ones unable to attend in person, the service will be streamed live at https://www.facebook.com/ButlerUMCNJ. .
