Gene Joseph Scognamiglio

Gene Joseph Scognamiglio was born and raised in Butler. He graduated from Butler High in 76 and went on to work as an electrical contractor and switch gear salesman. He was a member of the IBEW Union Local 363. Gene married his wife of 37 years, Jeanne (Amirante) Scognamiglio in May of 85 and they had 4 children.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Gene is survived by his wife Jeanne, daughter Sarah and her husband Rick and their two sons Axel and Luca, daughter Jessica, son Joseph and his wife Danielle and future granddaughter Penelope, and son Frank and his girlfriend Alexa.

Gene was loving and kind, he had a passion for cooking, fishing and playing guitar. He loved the beach and ocean, but was happiest in his own back yard with his kids, grand kids and family dog, Cannoli. He will be missed tremendously.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, September 21, 2022; 11:00 AM at St. Anthony's of Padua Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. Final disposition will be private.
