George G. Davis

George G. Davis, age 91, of Saddle River NJ, previously of Wanaque, NJ, died Friday, December 23, 2016. George was born August 15, 1925 in Belmont, Massachusetts, the son of the late Harold and Mary (Davidson) Davis. He served in the Army from 1944 to 1946 as a rifleman during World War II. He was retired for many years from being a mutual funds wholesaler. He was an avid musician, and enjoyed writing and performing music for English country dance. George is survived by his beloved wife, Margherita (Modica) Davis, his son, Blair H. Davis and two grandchildren Blair H. Davis Jr, and Allan G. Davis. He is preceded in death by his first wife Janie Copenhaver Davis. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 11:00 am at St. Davids Episcopal Church, 91 Kinnelon Road, Kinnelon, NJ. Interment of ashes will follow the service in the Memorial Garden also at St. Davids.
