Gerald A. Day

Day, Gerald A. 79, of Winter Haven, Fl., passed away October 2,2010. He was born October 22, 1930 in Roxbury, NY. Gerald was retired from the Butler, NJ Post Office after 30 years of service. He was a 25 year member of the Butler Fire Department and served as Chief of the Department from 1976-1977. Gerald also was a member of the Kiel Hook and Ladder Co., The NJ Fire Chief's Assoc. and the NJ Firemen's Relief Association. He is survived by his wife the former Nancy Mead of Winter Haven, Fl., daughters Lori Day, Butler, NJ., Karen Day, Bloomingdale, NJ, Kimberly (Day) Kwederis and her husband Joseph of Novi, MI and four grandchildren, Erin, Emily, Meghan and Christopher Kwederis, all of Novi, MI. Visitation will be held Friday, October 8, 2010 from 2-4 &7-9 pm at The Morrison Funeral Home,86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. The funeral service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Butler United Methodist Church.
