Gerald Hugh Allan

Gerald Hugh Allan, age 78, of Kinnelon, formerly of Bloomingdale, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, N.J. Mr. Allan was born September 25, 1928 at Weehawken, NJ, the son of the late Hugh Thomas and the late "Gene" (Lohse) Allan. He married Sharon Dorothy Leebl May 7th, 2005 at Smoke Rise Community Church, Kinnelon, NJ. He was a self-employed Building Contractor and former Electrical Engineer. Mr. Allan was a member of Silentia Lodge #168 Free and Accepted Masons, Butler, N.J., past Grand Exalted Ruler of Bloomingdale/Oakland Elks Lodge, Smoke Rise Community Church, Smoke Rise Players, Smoke Rise Sailing Club, Smoke Rise Gourmet Club, graduate of NJIT, Newark, former member of the Bloomingdale Board of Education, and held a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. He will also be remembered for his donations to local and national Charities.He is survived by his wife, Sharon Dorothy Leebl, children, Glenn and his wife Jean, Lynne McCabe and husband Timothy, and Leigh Allen and husband James, cherished grandchildren, Gregory and Justin Allan, and Ryan McCabe, loving step-children, Cari Murphy and Chuck Buckman, and adored step-grandchildren, Jonathan, Casey, and Devon Buckman. Gerald was predeceased by his first wife Beverly AllanVisiting hours will be Thursday, September 28, 2006 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. The funeral service will be Friday, September 29, 2006 10:00am at the funeral home, with Rev. Sandy Hull officiating.Burial will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, following the funeral service.
