Gerard Meyer

Gerard Meyer, age 85 of Butler, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, January 14, 2016. Mr. Meyer was born in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late William and the late Nora (Killeen) Meyer. He was pre deceased by his wife Catherine in 2008. Gerard proudly served in the army during the Korean War. He was a self-employed carpenter, an avid hunter, a member of the Elks Club in Pompton Lakes, and parishioner of St. Anthony's RC Church in Butler. Mr. Meyer is survived by three loving daughters: Mary Lou Kessel, Teash Carlson and husband James, Jo Ann Hausleben and husband Thomas, and two sons, Thomas Meyer, and Kevin Meyer and wife Sandra. Gerard is also survived by his nine cherished grandchildren: G, Kate, Amy, Jimmy, Crystal, Kevin, Kelli Ann, Nicole, Carly and great grandson Joshua James; a loving sister, Marie Roberts and husband Raymond. Viewing hours will be Monday, January 18th , 2016, from 4 to 8pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday 11am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow in Mt.
