Glenn L. Sisco, a cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on August 8, 1929, in Dover, NJ, Glenn lived a life dedicated to service, responsibility, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Glenn's commitment to his community was evidenced by his illustrious career in public service. He served with distinction as the District Superintendent for Jersey Central Power and Light and as a dedicated public servant in Kinnelon. His tenure as Mayor from 1969 to 2010 marked him as a steadfast leader, shaping the town he loved. Before becoming Mayor, he held the position of Councilman from 1965 to 1968, displaying an enduring passion for local governance. After his retirement, Glenn returned to serve once again as Councilman, from 2016-2020, demonstrating that his commitment to Kinnelon was lifelong.

Glenn's education at Morristown High School laid the foundation for a life marked by kindness, compassion, fairness, and resilience. His strength of character was not only felt in his professional life but also shone through in his personal interests. A passionate outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt, finding peace and joy in nature's embrace.

His military service as a member of the US Navy Sea Bees during the Korean War added another layer to his remarkable life. It was during those formative years that he learned the values of teamwork, duty, and sacrifice, lessons that would carry him through his life and inspire those around him.

Forever a loving husband to his wife, Barbara (Balson), with whom he shared 73 beautiful years, Glenn was the proud father of two: his son Gary and daughter Gail Bresett, who, alongside their spouses Debi and Alan, carried forward his legacy of kindness and community spirit. He took great joy in being a grandfather, leaving behind a loving bond with his grandchildren, Randy Sisco, Ryan Sisco, Jeff Bresett (Francesca), and Denise Bresett. His warmth and laughter extended further into the next generation, with the arrival of great-grandchild Christopher.

Glenn's proudest accomplishments were deeply rooted in his service to the mayor's office, the fire department, and most importantly, his family. His life exemplified what it meant to lead with love and integrity, teaching those around him the importance of loyalty, commitment, fairness and generosity.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Kenneth Sisco and Lena (nee Boyd), who undoubtedly instilled in him the values that guided his journey.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Glenn's life and legacy. Visitation will be held on January 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, in Butler, NJ.
