Grace M Davis

Grace Marie Davis (née Redmond) passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, at the age of 91, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Born on January 21, 1933, in Teaneck, New Jersey, Grace lived a life marked by love, dedication, and service to her community.

Grace devoted much of her life to her family, serving not only as a loving mother and homemaker but also as a caring School Lunchroom Aide. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her own family, touching the lives of many students throughout her career. Grace was a long-standing member of St. Mary's Church in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey and the Bloomingdale Senior Center, in Bloomingdale, New Jersey where she participated in various community activities and formed lasting friendships.

Her hobbies included reading, knitting, playing cards, coaching the Bloomingdale Majorettes, working with the Bloomingdale PTA, dancing and spending time with her family, which was her greatest joy. Grace's loving and nurturing spirit made her a central figure in her family and her community. Grace is survived by her sons Tom, Rich, Jim, and Neal; her daughter Karen; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Catherine Redmond, her beloved husband Irwin Davis, and other dear family members. Services to honor Grace's life will be held at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi, Butler, New Jersey on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 4 PM to 8 PM. Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s RC Church, Pompton Lakes, New Jersey at 11 am on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, internment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 106 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, New Jersey.

Grace's legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
