Harold J Matchett

Obituary Harold J. Matchett, age 92, of Bloomingdale, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at his residence. Harold was born in Haledon, NJ, the son of the late John and the late Margaret (Tedford) Matchett. He served in the Navy during Korean war and retired from Verizon as a Central Office Technician. Harold was a sports enthusiast, loved boating being with family and friends and life on Greenwood Lake. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Sean Matchett and his wife Michaela and Megan Rauch and her husband E.J., his loving sisters, Grace Saxton and Jessie Widovic and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Jane and sons Robert and Richard. Visiting hours will be held Monday, February 21st, 2022, from 4pm to 8pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral will be offered Monday 7:30pm also at the funeral home, all other services will be private. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Harolds name to a charity of your choice. .
