Harry A. Jensen, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and cherished friend, passed away quietly on November 19, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on December 25, 1940, in Lyngdal, Norway, Harry's journey began far from his eventual home in the United States. He arrived with immigrant parents, instilling in him the values of hard work and, which he carried throughout his life.
Harry's career was a testament to his unwavering dedication to service. He served proudly in the Air Force before embarking on a notable career as a Police Officer for the West Caldwell Police Department. His commitment and integrity helped him ascend to the rank of Chief of Police, showcasing his steadfast resolve and exemplary leadership. Ever the learner, Harry pursued his education at the Seton Hall School of Law, fulfilling his lifetime dream of becoming an attorney, a dream rooted in his respect for justice and the law.
Those who knew Harry would often describe him as a straight shooter; honesty was a guiding principle in his life. While he was naturally private and quiet, his warmth could be felt by those around him. Family was always paramount in his life, a core belief that he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
Harry is survived by his loving children, Connie Robertson (Joe), Kim Jensen, Michael Cuozzo, Bryan Cuozzo (Nancy), and Greg Cuozzo. He was a proud brother to Viola Lynch and Eric Jensen (Maggie), and he cherished the bonds with his grandchildren: Michael McHugh (Angela), Kelly Stewart (Mark), Kristen Moore (Daniel), Margaret Waggerman (Riley), David McHugh, Andrew Cuozzo, Kaylyn Cuozzo, Samantha Cuozzo, Christopher Cuozzo, Victoria Cuozzo, and Juliana Cuozzo. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Abigail, Madelynn, Eloise, John McHugh, Johnny, Grace Stewart, Addison, and Mitchell Moore. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews.
The memory of his late wife, Nancy (Beh) Jensen, remains etched in the hearts of those who loved him, a reminder of a cherished partnership that shaped his life. Harry's love for travel was evident in his many adventures across the United States in his RV, experiences that enriched his life and brought joy to those lucky enough to share these moments with him.
