Hazel Mugavero, a resident of The Chelsea at Montville, in Montville, N.J. passed away on Sunday, February 24, following a stroke, at the age of 93. She was born in New York City on November 26, 1919. She attended Manhattan Industrial School, where she studied clothing construction. She later changed her study to cosmetology, and became a hairdresser. She had a brother, Octave Patnode, who is deceased. Hazel loved animals, an owned over ten dogs in the course of her life. She also loved horses and rode frequently, when she was young. She dabbled in sculpture and crafts. She was married to Ansel Mugavero, also a hairdresser, and they resided for many years in Butler, N.J. and later in Kinnelon, N.J.. They later moved North to Sussex County, and in their last years resided in Milford, PA. She was the loving mother of three children, grandmother of four, and a great-grandmother of one. She is survived by her daughter, Margo Bowblis, and her Son-In-Law, William Bowblis, of Kinnelon, N.J.; her son, Carl Mugavero, and her Daughter-In-Law, Bonnie Mugavero, of Stockholm, N.J.: another daughter, Elisa Mugavero, is deceased. Her grandson, Thomas Lapenter, Jr., of Highland Lakes, N.J.: her granddaughter, Jessica Mugavero Skriner, of Greenwich, Conn., Her granddaughter Sarah Mugavero, of Stockholm, N.J.; Her grandson, Christopher Mugavero, of Stockholm, N.J.; and her great-grandson, Thomas Lapenter III, of Highland Lakes, N.J.. She will be missed by all. Viewing will be at Morrison's Funeral Home on Sunday, March 3rd, 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthon'y R.C. Church at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 4.
