James C. 'Jim' Gillen

James C. "Jim" Gillen, age 67, of Crystal River, Fl. passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at his home in Crystal River under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born October 18,1943 in Paterson, NJ to Peter and Marion (Carroll) Gillen. He came here 7 years ago from West Milford, NJ. He was a retired crane engineer with 25 years of service and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineer, Local #14-14B NY. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Crystal River. He also enjoyed NASCAR and cheering for driver # 3. Surviving are his son James Gillen (Danielle) of Barnegat, NJ and a daughter Tami Pentlicki (Jeff) of Barnegat, NJ , the mother of his children, Lynda Butler, brothers Peter Gillen, Jr. (Patricia) of West Milford, NJ and Patrick Gillen (Joan) of Newfoundland, PA, 5 grandchildren, Devin , Jaydan, Dienna, Noah, and Samantha , 6 nephews, 2 nieces 3 great nieces and one great nephew. Visitation will be Friday, August 5th, 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM at The Morrison Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 6th 10am at St. Joseph's RC Church, West Milford, NJ. Interment immediately following at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Milford, NJ.
