James Dutcher, age 81, of Hewitt died Sunday, March 1, 2015. Mr. Dutcher was born in Paterson, NJ, the son of the late William and May (Brannick) Dutcher. James worked for Miles Laboratory, Clifton, NJ as a chemical operator and served in the Army during peacetime. He is survived by his beloved children, Susan Mathews and husband Jake and Judy Morse and husband Scott, two brothers, Edward and Andrew, one sister, Patricia James, three cherished grandchildren, Bill Gaffney, Kelly Morse and Jared Morse, an adored great grandchild, Bella Gaffney. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his devoted wife of 56 years, Elizabeth. Viewing hours will be Sunday, March 8th, 2015 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Sunday 3:00pm also at the funeral home. The final disposition will be private.
