James J Molloy

James J. Molloy, 83, of Bloomingdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 31, 2015. Born in Paterson, NJ on October 31, 1931 to the late Eleanor (nee Goulden) and the late W Joseph Molloy. He was a Korean War veteran and received 2 bronze star medals. He worked 40 years for the United States Postal Service before retiring in 1996 and was a member of National Association of Letter Carriers. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan but his most cherished time spent was with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Kathleen (nee Appell); his children, James Jr Molloy and his wife Lori, Kathleen Danley and her husband Allan, Joseph Molloy and his wife Cindy, Maureen Holmes and her husband David, Vincent Molloy and his wife Cheryl, Michael Molloy and his wife Karen, Anne Hrina and her husband Richard, Patrick Molloy and his companion Diane and Matthew Molloy; his grandchildren, James III, Ryan and Marissa Molloy, Tonia Molloy, Leah and Ian Holmes, Caitlin and Erin Molloy, Jason, Chelsea and Nathan Hrina, Patrick Jr., Samantha and Courtney Molloy; his great grandchildren, DeVontae and Darius Brown. He is also survived by his sister, Anne Conway and her husband Anthony and sisters in laws Maddy Molloy and Karen Molloy and numerous nieces and nephews. James was pre-deceased by his siblings, Eleanor, Joseph, Msgr Vincent and John. Viewing hours will be Saturday, April 4th, 2015 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass offered on Monday, April 6th, 2015 10:00am at St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa., NJ.
