James Mason

James Mason, of Cedar Crest formerly of Butler, NJ, passed away in Pompton Plains, NJ, on January 10th 2011 at the age of 82. He was the son of Maude (Walker) Mason and James T. Mason and was born in Belfast, Ireland. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Emily M (nee Veal) Mason, his beloved children, Janet Williamson and husband Skip and Andrew Mason as well as 2 cherished grandchildren, Brett and Megan. Jim was a member of St David's Episcopal Church in Kinnelon and a member of its choir proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Army and worked at Chemical Bank for many years in New York City as an investment banker. Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 13th, 2011, from 3pm to 7pm at The Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler. A funeral service will be offered at 11am Friday January 14th ,2011 at St David's Episcopal Church, Kinnelon. The final disposition will be held in private.
