James Roche, 53, of Bloomingdale, after a long and courageous fight, died Friday April 22, 2011. Jim was born in Jersey City, NJ, grew up in Bloomingdale, and while proudly serving in the US Navy, lived in Norfolk, Va., and returned to Bloomingdale in 2002. Friends are invited to visit Monday, April 25, 2011 from2:00pm to 4:00pm & 6pm to 8pm at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday 11am aslo at the funeral home. Jim was predeceased by his wife Linda (Scheiber), and survived by his loving children Annmarie, and James, his parents Marie and Jim, of Damascus, Pa., his brother Mark and his wife Denise, his nieces Megan and Mallory, his girfriend, Rose Marion, and a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom he loved dearly. Jim was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, and served in the Navy for 13 years before his illness forced him to retire. He was a member of The Disabled American Veterans, The VFW of Norfolk Va., and The Knights Of Columbus, Council 943 in Butler, NJ.
