Jan L Bossard

Jan L. Bossard, age 73, of Butler passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024, unexpectedly.

Jan was born July 5, 1951 in Paterson, NJ, the son of the late Paul and Audry Ann (Klink) Bossard. He was also the beloved husband of the late Patricia K. (Fitzgerald) Bossard. Jan was a Physical Education teacher in Butler High School and Madison High School where he was also the Head Coach of the football team. He loved to fish and be at the Jersey Shore. He was a World War II history buff and loved to watch old movies. He was also an avid Jets, Mets, and college sports fan. Jan will be remembered for his love of family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Kimberly Burrows (Craig), Christy Bedell (fiancée Chris Corsaro) and Kelly Hadden (John), his loving siblings, Elaine Schaefer (Jim), Allan Bossard (Cyndy), Rich Bossard (Marian) and Gerard Bossard (Annie), eight cherished grandchildren and 1 adored great grandson. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Viewing hours will be held Saturday, August 31th, 2024, from 10am to 2pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral service will be offered Saturday 1:30pm also at the funeral home. All other services will be private.
