Jane Helen (Newkirk) Cunningham, 67, of Bloomingdale, NJ, departed this life on Thursday, February 26, 2015. She has been reunited with those who predeceased her, parents Charles and Grace Newkirk; brothers Robert and Richard Newkirk; Uncle James Barnes; and special friends Father John Doyle, OFM and Father Jude Murphy, OFM. Welcomed to heaven by these and many others who have been waiting for her, she will be terribly missed by loving husband John, daughter Chris Ellen, sister Grace "Tinker" Gamarello, and very special friend Father Tom Hartle, OFM. She will also be missed by her incredibly special team of family and friends, Jane's Angels, who have walked a difficult journey with her and shown her unmitigated love, support, and friendship. She is now YOUR guardian angel. Born and raised in Jersey City, Jane was a long time resident of Bloomingdale and faithful parishioner and former employee of St. Anthony's RC Church in Butler. Services will be held in tribute to Jane at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Sunday March 1st, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday March 2nd, 2015 10am at St Anthony RC Church Butler, NJ . Interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery Butler, NJ. Jane made a final wish, as she will have access to all the beauty of Heaven now, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Covenant House.
