Jane Riemer

Jane Riemer, 80 years old, of Vernon, NJ, formerly of West Milford and Butler, NJ passed away on May 5, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. Jane was born in Butler, delivered by her father during a late winter snow storm in the very same house she grew up in and lived for many years. She was a graduate of Butler High School and a first runner up in a local beauty pageant when she was a teenager. She enjoyed her career as a former Assistant Manager of National Community Bank. Jane retired in the year 1994 to go on and take care of her longtime companion Henry Swin. She had a lifelong passion for gardening, playing cards and a love of puzzles that she enjoyed till the very end. She was a kind and gentle soul. A mother everyone wishes they had and would one day become. Her passing leaves a profound sadness in her families hearts. The daughter of the late James and Helen Decker. She was predeceased by a son Timothy Riemer, a daughter Sharon Riemer and a brother Joseph Decker. She is survived by her beloved children, son Michael Riemer and wife Marianne, son John Riemer and wife Monika, daughter Diane Giles and husband Roy and daughter Lori Lohwin and husband Michael. She is also survived by her dear brother Jim Decker. She was a loving grandmother to Cheryl, Kristen, Barbara, Brent, Deidra, Steven, Mathew and Tyler. As well as great grandmother to four beautiful great grandbabies along with several nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday May 13, 2017 from 1:00-4pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ.
