Jere Robert Hunziker

Jere Robert Hunziker passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. He was born on March 31, 1957, in Manhattan, NY to Charles and Lilian Hunziker whose parents preceded him. He was married to Cheryl Hunziker who together raised his daughter Nicole and son Cody. He worked at PSE&G for 32 years as a service specialist. Jere is survived by his wife Cheryl Hunziker; daughter Nicole Vigorita and son in law Andrew Vigorita; son Cody Marienthal and girlfriend Leann OConnor. He is survived by immediate family and extended family and friends as well. On Monday April 4, 2022, the family received a phone call that nobody ever wants to hear. Jere had a stroke and massive brain bleed while at work and was in critical condition. It has been along seven weeks of him putting up a fight, but God had other plans for him. Jere enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, being out on the lake, as well as spending time down the shore. He was the hardest worker anyone has ever met, if he was able to tie his boots he was going to work. He was always making sure he did everything he could for his family. He was always known for putting everyone before himself and making everyone else happy around him. He truly had a heart of gold and will be missed by all. A viewing service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25, 2020, at Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ from 3pm to 8pm. There will be a service starting at 7:30pm for anyone who would like to join. A memorial will be held in September in remembrance of Jere. .
