Joan Amann, a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on February 19, 2022, at Care One of Parsippany. Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 8, 1933, to the late Edward and Edna Ruehl, she was the second youngest of 10 children. She graduated from Midwood High School, Brooklyn in 1951 and worked as an office manager and as a legal and executive secretary for over 60 years, most of those at Dominion Textile in Manhattan. Joan married the love of her life, Eugene Amann, in 1965 and they enjoyed 17 wonderful years together until his untimely death in 1982. Joan was a beloved wife, aunt, and friend to so many people. She loved to laugh and will be tremendously missed. Joan is survived by her nephew, Edward Horton and his wife, Joyce, as well as other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 8:30-9:30am at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ, followed by a 10:00am funeral mass at Our Lady of the Magnificat Chapel in Kinnelon, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Joans name to a charity of your choice. . There are no gallery images.
