Joan T Wenzel

Joan T. Wenzel, 75, of Butler, passed away on July 23, 2017. Visiting will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM, at the Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, 10 AM, at St. Anthony RC Church also in Butler. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ. Joan was born in the Astoria a section of Queens, daughter of the late Frank A. and Margaret E. Schadelbauer. Joan later resided in Butler for 48 years. She was employed by Equitable Insurance before becoming a wife and mother and later worked 22 years for Grand Union in Butler. Mrs. Wenzel also served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She was a religious education teacher and a parishioner at Saint Anthony RC Church. Joan was a past president of St. Anthonys Knights of Columbus Council 943, where she was very active member. Mrs. Wenzel is survived by her two daughters, Laura Imbimbo and Deborah McGovern, four sons, Paul, John, William and Brian, two sons in law, Christopher Imbimbo and Gerald McGovern, two daughters in law Michele and Jessica, 16 grandchildren, two sisters, Elizabeth Melley and Margaret Schadelbauer and many nieces and nephews. Joan was pre deceased by her husband of 44 loving years, Paul Wenzel.
