Joel Arnold Riley, age 79, life long resident of Bloomingdale, NJ died Sunday, May 24, 2015. Mr. Riley was born in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Henry Arnold and the late Emily (Card) Riley. He was a letter carrier for the U. S. Post Office in Bloomingdale, NJ before retiring. Joel was a parishioner of St. Anthonys RC Church in Butler, a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), the Tinker Ts Model T Club and the National Chevy Club. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 loving years, Patricia (Carlyon) Riley, his beloved children, Margaret Werner and husband Wayne, Michelle Capodiferro and husband Joseph and Richard Riley and wife Patty, his loving siblings, Thomas Riley and wife Harriet and Joyce McCaskill, six cherished grandchildren, Jamie Capodiferro, Kyle, Ryan and Leslie Werner and Christopher and Steven Riley. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Joel was predeceased by his brother, Donald. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, May 27th, 2015, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral mass will be held Thursday 11:00am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
