John D. Tria

John D. Tria, age 55, of Butler, formerly of New Milford, passed away peacefully in his wife's arms, Thursday, May 30, 2013 after a long struggle with Esophageal Cancer. Mr. Tria was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late John and the late Kathleen (Lavery) Tria. He worked recently at the The Vitamin Shoppe as Operations Manager and was formerly employed by A.S.M.E. for over 20 years. He enjoyed coaching his boys in soccer and baseball in the Tri Boro Little League and also earned the honor of Eagle Scout. John was an avid sports fan and faithfully followed the JETS and the METS. He also worked part time for MetLife Stadium and watched every game of the JETS and GIANTS. He is survived by his devoted wife Linda (Schwoerer), his beloved sons, John E. and Michael Tria, his brother Robert and his sisters, Debbie Zayas and Darlene Feliconio and her late husband Robert and his adored nieces and nephews, Steven, Jerry, Joey, Danny, Lauren, Kurt, Robert, Tori, Triana and Christopher. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 6th, 2013, 2:00pm at Emergence Church, 930 Riverview Drive, Suite 500, Totowa, NJ.
