John G. Wood

John G. Wood, age 82, of Butler, died Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Llanfair House Nursing & Rehab Center, Wayne, NJ.Mr. Wood was born January 23, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Clarence and Henrietta (Studly) Wood. He married Evelyn Summers June 20, 1945 in Ringwood, NJ. He served in the Navy during World War II .He was retired from Raymond International Buildings Inc in 1980, where he worked in customer service .Mr. Wood was a member of the Americal Legion, and the New York State Grange.Devoted husband of Evelyn M. (nee Summers). Beloved father of Susan Mc Caskill, Kathryn Pallozzi, Janet Votra, and Carol Reams. Cherished grandfather of eleven, great-grandfather of fourteen, and great-great grandfatherof one. Loving brother of Ruth M. Smith.Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 29th, 2007, from 2:00 -4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm, at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. The funeral service will be Monday, 11:00am also at the funeral home.Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, also on Monday.
