John Joseph Taggart, Jr., of Brookfield, CT, formerly of Bloomingdale, NJ passed away Friday night surrounded by his family. He was an adoring husband of 28 years to Jane and loving father to Colleen. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Saint Joseph's Church. John was an avid Yankee, NY Giants & Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. John is survived by his wife Jane and daughter Colleen, his mother Joan, brother Mike and his wife Shelli, brother Billy and his wife Joyce, brother Patrick and his wife Linda, brother Brian and his wife Susan, sister Mary and her husband Brian Reid, sister Ann and her husband Rich Morsch, sister Joan and her husband Steve Iurata and brother Terence and his wife Dawn. John is also survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Smerak. John loved his many nieces, nephews & grand-nephews. He was predeceased by his father John and his nephew Steven Bieganousky. John's wake will be held at Saint Joseph's Church in Brookfield, Connecticut, Corner of 133 and Route 25 on Monday, November 26th, between the hours of 10 am and 1 pm. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church beginning at 1 pm. A second viewing will be held at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ - Tuesday, November 27th, 2012 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 am, also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
