Joseph H Foley, age 76, of Totowa, formerly of Butler, died Monday, October 22, 2012.Mr. Foley was born in New York City, the son of the late Thomas and the late Margaret (McGowan) Foley. He was the Deputy Inspector for the NYC Police Dept. retiring in 1990, a former Councilman for the Borough of Butler, proudly served his country during the Korean War for the U.S. Army, and was a resident of the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly in Totowa. He is survived by a Step Daughter, Linda Monaco of Butler, two cousins, Therese Davey Brennan of Dublin, Ireland and Mary Davey of Sligo, Ireland and a good friend John Sautter. Viewing hours will be Thursday, October 25th, 2012, from 3pm to 5pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday 10:00am at St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly 140 Shepherd Lane Totowa, NJ 07512, in his memory.
