Joseph V Aquino

Joseph V. Aquino, 93, cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle, formerly of Forked River, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2020. Joe was born in 1926 in New York City, the son of the late Samuel and Mildred Aquino. He spent 61 beautiful years with his devoted wife Chiara who passed away in 2014. Joe worked as a draftsman at Gibbs & Cox, New York prior to retirement. After retiring he became an avid golfer and bowled in a league. He took joy in spending time with his family and all of his grandchildren, and was extremely thrilled to become a great-grandfather. He always had a smile on his face and leaves many with the fondest memories that will never be forgotten. He is survived by his loving daughters Patricia Grosso and son-in-law Michael of Butler, and Lorraine DeMaio and son-in-law Lou of Kinnelon. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Woodcock (Brian), Nicole Tucker (TJ), Danielle DeMaio, Jessica DeMaio (Austin) and Courtney DeMaio, 2 great grandchildren Jaxon and Myles, and one sister Gloria Listro of Toms River, NJ and several beloved nieces and nephews. Due to COVID-19 a memorial service will be scheduled at another time.
