Josephine Ann LaPointe née Corso, became our angel on Monday, December 4, 2023. She is now with her husband Joe and her daughter Cathy, and that’s all she wanted.
Josephine was born and raised in Beaver Dam Wisconsin on October 9, 1929. After graduating she went on to the Navy and nursing school and became an RN. She worked as a Navy nurse in Philadelphia where she met Joseph LaPointe and they began their life together. They were married February 4, 1956 and started their family right away. They moved to Butler where they raised their kids and enjoyed every minute of it. Butler is a special place and they knew it when they got there. She cooked for the neighborhood, nursed the neighborhood and there was always a lot of iced tea for everyone. She was the biggest Butler High School football fan and made sure she had off from work so she could make the games.
She leaves behind five children, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Cathy which broke her heart into pieces. She was ready to be with her and Dad again. So we rejoice in that, she is where she wants to be. She will be missed by many and loved by all.
Visitation will be Friday, December 8th, from 4:00pm-7:00pm, at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A mass will be offered, Saturday, December 9th, 11:00am at St. Anthony's of Padua RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ.
