DePIETRO Josephine "Joan" (nee Delavello), age 70, of Riverdale, NJ died Tuesday July 7, 2009 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. she moved to Bergenfield in 1961 before moving to Ringwood in 1978 and then settling in Riverdale in 2005. She was a Home Health Aid employed by Emerald Health Care, Pompton Lakes for ten years retiring in 2003. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Butler. She enjoyed volunteering as an Apostolate of the sick, caring for the sick and elderly as a Home Health Aide and various Youth Group activities. Mrs. DePietro is survived by her husband Anthony, her children; John DePietro and his spouse Maria (Galindo), Theresa Pardalis, and Ann Marie Ten Hoeve and her spouse Chris Ten Hoeve, seven grandchildren; Steven, Brian and Nikolas Pardalis, Kaitlyn and Joey Ten Hoeve, Jennifer and Joseph Vega and her sister Helen Delavello. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Helen Delavello and raised by her foster parents, Vincent and Mamie Buscemi. She was also pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters; Thomas, John, Anthony, Fanny, Lucy, and Terry Delavello. She leaves behind family and friends who had the opportunity to experience her love. Funeral Liturgy, Saturday, 11 AM, at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Butler with Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Milford. Visiting, Thursday, 7-9 PM and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society or American Lung Association would be appreciated.
