Josephine Emma

Josephine Emma, age 96, of Pompton Plains, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 16, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Maria (Benjamin) Ferruzza. Josephine was a wonderful homemaker, decorator and a great cook, she loved spending time with her family. Before retiring she was a bookkeeper, employed by Superior Packaging in Carlstadt, NJ. Josephine was involved in church and played the organ. She recently attended the Abundant Life Church in Lincoln Park and was also involved with Calvary Lighthouse in Lakewood, NJ. Josephine is survived by her loving sons, Anthony D. Emma and his wife Wilma Jean (Tuit), of Lincoln Park, NJ and David Paul Emma, of Burbank, CA. Adored granddaughter, Johanna Joy Emma and her husband, Fraser George Spencer Holt and grandson, David Anthony Emma, great grandchildren, Colin David, and Jackson Andrew. Also surviving are siblings, Loretta Dull of Lakewood, NJ and David Ferruzza and his wife Betty of Lancaster, PA. Josephine was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Emma in 1993. Visitation will be Monday, December 27, 2021, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A Memorial service will be held Monday at 2:00 pm also at the home.
