Judith was born in Paterson to parents Cornelius and Bertha White (nee Smith) and grew up in Pompton Plains, NJ. She graduated from Butler HS, then attended Muskingum University in New Concord, OH to study music, but she left after one year to marry and start a family. Family was at the center of Judiths life. She lovingly raised her four children, Jai, Scot, Beth, Anne and instilled in each a strength to think for themselves and to maintain their individuality. Vacations were planned around visiting family and historical sites. She doted on her grandchildren Jessica Salazar, Colleen and Keegan Craige, and her great grandchildren, Jessicas sons Malakhi and Elijah Franklin. Judith was an artist in every form. She played cello and was a trained singer. The latter talent she lent as choir director for Church of the Incarnation in West Milford, as song leader with her mother - organist for Holy Spirit in Pequannock, and as choir member for St. Josephs in West Milford. She was active in her community over the years, serving as a Girl Scout leader and volunteering at Long Pond Ironworks. She enjoyed swimming, hiking, gardening, painting, sewing, needlework, and floral arranging. She continuously challenged herself with her can-do attitude and eagerness to learn. Judiths occupations varied, including Recreation aid at Lincoln Park Nursing Center, traveling home health aide, and Red Cross swim instructor. Her faith kept her centered at all times. She was active with St. Josephs rosary and bible study groups, and she searched for and offered love in everything she did and everyone she met.
