Karen M. Nelson Machiavello

Karen M. Machiavello (nee Nelson), age 66, of Bloomingdale, NJ, adored mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, died peacefully Saturday, August 29, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pompton Plains, NJ, the daughter of the late Charles Walter and the late Georgiana (Shenise) Nelson. Karen was retired from Sensidyne Inc. in Clearwater, Fla. She cherished time with her family and friends, and had a lifelong passion for cooking. Karen was an active member of the Women's Cancer Support Group held at the Collins Pavilion at Chilton Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her beloved children, William Machiavello, and Joann Machiavello-Bednarz, her loving brothers and sisters, Kenneth Nelson and wife Elsa, Keith Nelson, Kathie Matta and husband Richard, Kevin Nelson and wife Beverly, and Kraig Nelson and wife Shawn, and two cherished grandchildren, Sydney Machiavello and Owen Bednarz. Karen is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will take place at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009, from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm, with a memorial service to be held at 8:00pm.
