Kathleen Caldera

Kay was born Kathleen Margaret Byrne in Hoboken, New Jersey on January 12, 1930. She lived most of her life in New Jersey before retiring to her beloved Hague, New York on Lake George. She returned to New Jersey in 2016 to live with her son, Robert Lamanna, until she began her residence at Milford Manor.

Kay is survived by her children, Annette Wells (Bill), Barbara Lamanna, Robert Lamanna, Robert Caldera (Lucy), Judy Griffin (Mike) and Laurie De Torres (Richie). She was the beloved Nana to her grandchildren, Kristine Bascom (Larry), Kevin Malanczuk (Delia), Shannon Daly (Mark), Erin Solis (Oscar), Annmarie Lamanna, Jessie Sullivan, Joni Caldera (Nelson), Kyle DeTorres (Christine), Jen Wells (Dan), Beth Knox (Jon), Michael Wells (Tammy). She was blessed to have great-grandchildren, Siena Bascom, Kayley Bascom, Marley Malanczuk, Zoe Malanczuk, Ryder Solis, Chloe Kay Solis, Michael Puskas, Nico Contreras, Zachary, Jake, Jane Knox, Dylan and Ethan Wells. Kay was predeceased by her parents, Margaret (Burke) and Hugh Byrne, siblings Rae, Donald, Patricia, Bobby and Richie, her first husband, Ralph (Bobby) Lamanna, and her second husband, Robert Caldera, a granddaughter, Meagan Killcoyne and a great grandson, Rocco Cruz Contreras.

Kay lived life to the fullest. She loved bingo, casino visits and sitting at the beach on Lake George with her neighbors. She loved every minute of her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all.

Visitation will be on September 28, 2022 from 9:00 AM 10:30 AM at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass 11:00 AM immediately following at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Butler, New Jersey.
