Kenneth Geveke, of Butler, passed away March 25, 2021. He was born in Paterson to Catherina (Engels) and John Geveke. After graduating from Eastside High School and Montclair State University, he began an almost 40 year teaching career in Wyckoff, NJ. There he was an accomplished eighth grade science teacher. He loved his career and made a deep impression on thousands of students within that district. Anyone who knew Ken would agree he was an avid reader, animal lover and an excellent cook. He was brilliantly smart and often entertained others with his quick sense of humor. Ken was a Veteran of the US Army and was known to always support our troops. He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years MaryAnn (Bilotta) and his only daughter Karrie. His grandchildren, who were his absolute two favorite people, Maddie and Jack. His Brother Herman Geveke of PA, sister in law Ellen & Don Nicol, brother in law Nick & Mary Kate Bilotta and also nieces and nephews, Grant, Gary, Danielle, Nicholas, Kristin, Cheryl, Gail, Chris and Kurt. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6, at Morrisons Funeral Home, Butler NJ. Services will be from 4-8. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship fund to perpetuate his love for education through the next generation of future scientists is being established. .
