Keri B. Accavallo

Keri B. Accavallo, age 45, of West Milford passed away after a short illness Monday, July 19, 2021, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York. Ms. Accavallo was born in Denville, NJ the daughter of the late Dennis and the late Mary (Fongaro) Kowalski. She was a 1994 graduate of Jefferson Township High School and then went on to earn her 4 year degree at Kutztown University and her masters degree at Marygrove College. Keri was a teacher at the Macopin Middle School West Milford, NJ where she taught English for 21 years. She was passionate about the teaching she did and cheered on the success of every student that crossed her path. Family was of the utmost importance to Keri and her boys were the heart and soul of every breath she took. She was and will always be their biggest fans. Keri loved the outdoors, visting the beach, watching movies, and her pets. She was the champion for every unwanted and unloved animal that always somehow found their way to Keri. Keri is survived by her two cherished sons, Bennett and AJ Accavallo, her loving siblings, Lori Kircher and her husband Glenn, Chris Kowalski and John Kowalski and his wife Laura, her dear stepmother, Genevieve Kowalski, her step siblings, Billy Sylvester and Claudine Macaulay, her devoted fiance, Chad Busch, niece Emily Kowalski and nephews Dylan Kircher, and Roman and Carson Citro. Keri was predeceased by her son Antonio. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A Celebration of life will be offered Sunday 7:00 pm also at the funeral home. Those who knew Keri know she was about being yourself. She applauded creativity and as such would want a celebration with color and flair. She was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Yankees. She would love nothing more than to see you in your Yankees jersey. She loved the beach and would love nothing more to see you in your favorite colorful Hawaiian shirt and shorts. The more color the better! She wasnt about fancy and formal, so feel free to be you whether it is formal or casual wear. Yes, you the Macopin Middle School family, wear your school gear.
