Kevin Duffy

Kevin Duffy, 53, of Kinnelon, New Jersey passed after a long illness on April 18th, 2018 with his loving wife of 23 years, Laurice Duffy, by his side. He is also survived by his four sons Kelly, Tyler, Quinn, and Aidan. Kevin will be forever remembered by his sisters, Kathleen Duffy and Jacqueline Ramsey, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in law. Kevin is the son of the late John and Patricia Duffy. Kevin was born and raised in Bloomingdale, NJ, and graduated from Butler High School where he played football and earned all-conference, all-county, and all-state accolades. He also played football at Hartford Community College. He started his career as a pipefitter after a five year apprenticeship, most recently he was a Foreman at CK Mechanical. In addition to being a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle, perhaps Kevins most important legacy was being a devoted father. Together with Laurice, he raised four respectful and caring young men. He was happiest spending time with his family, particularly coaching and watching his boys play sports. Kevin also impacted the lives of many other young men as he coached football, baseball and basketball for 14 years at the High School and Rec levels. Kevin was an avid sports enthusiast growing up and living in the land of Mets and Yankees, he was a most passionate Red Sox fan. Family, friends and others whose lives Kevin touched are invited to Our Lady of the Magnificat (OLM) Church, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon on Sunday, April 22nd , 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 8:00. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morrisons Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 23rd , 11:00 at OLM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Kevins memory for Kinnelon Athletic Facility upgrades.
