It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin J. Woop, 57, of West Milford and Kinnelon, NJ, on January 15, 2023.
He was the son of the late James and Marion (O'Sullivan) Woop. Kevin was predeceased by his Uncle Robert F. Woop, Cousin Christopher (Chris) Woop. and by his faithful and loving dogs, Ajax and Nivek and Jerry the cat.
Kevin worked most of his career navigating through many successful trades in his short life with us. Formerly of the past 12 years with Don Longo, Inc. as a Director of Operations, UST Division servicing Petroleum and Automotive Industries throughout the NJ, NY and Tri State Area. Hauling Fuel with Petro One, SJ Fuels/NY, his own Ajax Corp. and Furnot Industries. Kevin towered himself in the Environmental installation of tanks and pads for gas stations throughout NJ.
In Kevin's younger days he was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Magnificat in Kinnelon, NJ and attended Catholic grade school, was a graduate of Kinnelon High School in 1983. In Kevin's ventures, which by the way were always challenging, he was a great athlete, champion in football, and a wrestling state champ.
His happy hobbies included riding his Harley Davidson cross country to Key West with Keith Furnot, Best Buddies:)) Tattoos, cross country road trips with the Enchanter (pick-up) and Ajax. Deep sea fishing, red right return, Great Flames!! T-Time Tip Time for Golf with Keith, Eric, Rick Vreeland and Bill Longo. An Equine enthusiast, Luv Tahoe by his wife Lisa Marie. He was an avid Giant fan, Go Big Blue and believe me when we say, "He was a TV Referee in the living room!!." The Yankees always came in the spring. Camping, quadding and dirt bike Mania with his brother John. Upstate Snowmobile trips with Lisa Marie, Jake & Kyle Vreeland. Group Harley ride 50th with Lisa Marie, Bart and Maria. Music was ALWAYS a staple in his life. Kevin enjoyed Riding Against the Wind, by Bob Seiger, Johnny Cash, Toby Keith and many more.
Kevin is survived by his partner and loving wife, Lisa Marie Raimondi, brother John D. Woop, sisters Peg Hoyt and her husband Dave, Suzanne Filippini and her husband Dave, Aunt Judy Woop, Sandra Gigante, Uncle Jack O'Sullivan, Uncle Dennis and Aunt Janie O'Sullivan with many loving Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Kevin was a loyal companion, faithful loving friend you could count on, always. A protector from evil, funny, crazy times who really truly could light up a room when he entered anywhere. Anyone who knew him would know that!!
My Rock, My Big K, RIP, In my broken heart always. Lisa Marie
